It was on the previous Tuesday evening 19th March that Christine and myself received the devastating news that Christine had got a tumour. That Tuesday was Christine's last day at work. This was the start of the most horrendous, non stop roller-coaster journey that would end sadly in December 2013.

Cycle ride to the river
Went out for a much needed body and mind recharge cycle ride. A very pleasant jaunt through Sandhurst and down to the river at Wainlodes. Thanks Jerry for supporting a rather shell shocked me. It was lovely to see Anita and John this morning.

Off road repairs
Headed out with Jerry for a spin through Pinswell, down to Colesbourne, up to Birdlip and back home. Thick mud everywhere which added an extra dimension to the off road repairs - two punctures, a none repairable inner tube, a broken pump and finally a missing spoke. All good fun.
It was on the previous Sunday the 10th March, Mothering Sunday that we went up to the Midlands to see Jane and mum. We had a wonderful relaxed day. We went to look at the Wombourne Court apartments for mum. Jane remembers that it felt like when we were younger and we had just met, me Chris and Jane would go out for the day. It was just a very relaxing day - we'd chat and laugh at things. Unaware of what lay around the corner - I remember that day Christine laughing and joking.

Quiz night
Tonight we joined Jenny, Steve and Elaine for a quiz night at the Little Owl, in aid of the Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts. Without doubt the hardest quiz we have entered, we were dismal - but it was fun.

Pinswell walk
We went for a walk to Upper Coberley and headed through Mercomb Wood to Pinswell. This is where we used to go riding. We found the quaint little cottage we remember tucked away near the woods - its garden full of snow drops.

Weekend
William was home for the weekend which was great. Saturday was spent model making for a structural project which he needed to work on. On Sunday we had a fine walk over Painswick Beacon and a delicious Sunday lunch at the Royal William. It was just a lovely weekend.
